A true native to the Western North Carolina area with family roots dating back to 1810, I am a true ambassador for Western North Carolina with undergraduate degrees in education and music from Mars Hill University and an MBA from Western Carolina University. As a former teacher in the area my goal is to educate, whether a buyer or seller, by providing the most current, relevant information available and by giving expert guidance throughout. My professional goal is to exceed my client's expectations through a commitment to excellence. The result is that I have been a top producing Realtor providing clients with successful client outcomes for 21 years. I am licensed in both North and South Carolina
Real estate is my love and passion. When I am not helping my clients achieve their real estate goals, I am building my personal real estate investment portfolio. I have extensive knowledge and experience from commercial investments to turn-key investments, single-family homes to complete renovations. At times you will find me with my power tools and hands on turning a vision into reality - this is so very rewarding!

Giving back to the community and others is what this life is all about. I volunteer with Big Brother/Big Sisters, travel abroad to help build houses for people without homes, give back to my profession as I have served in many roles with the Land of the Sky Association of Realtors as past Director and Secretary. I also serve as the Vice Chair for the Buncombe County Board of Equalization and Review, the Buncombe County Ad Hoc Reappraisal Committee, the Conserving Carolina Land Trust Development Committee in addition to the fundraising committee.
I love living in the mountains and spending time on the coast. North Carolina is such a beautiful state....from the mountains to the coast we have it all! I feel blessed to call the mountains of WNC home. One of my favorite activities is to hike with "Bella, my Jack Russell. Other favorites include cycling, mountain biking, kayaking, yoga, and paddle boarding or anything in the great outdoors. You will often find me participating in local and regional races. I love to travel the world but most of all I love coming home!

Our agent was Miriam McKinney and we were amazed at her knowledge and her attention to the changing market in the comps in our area. Miriam helped us or really mostly took care of getting some foundation repairs and other work taken care of.
